Allianz Insurance Company of Singapore Pte Ltd is a non-life company which writes personal, commercial and industrial lines of business, predominantly through intermediaries; like brokers and selected agencies. The Allianz Group's first subsidiary in Singapore was Allianz Insurance (Singapore), which was set up in 1981. This was also Allianz's first operation in Asia. Allianz Insurance Company of Singapore came into existence as a result of the merger between Allianz Insurance (Singapore) (already voluntarily liquidated) & AGF Insurance (S) Pte Ltd. The new entity is a 100% subsidiary of Allianz SE. The Company writes all classes of non-life business, including health, in the Singapore market. However, the Company's major lines are property, casualty, engineering and extended warranty. In Singapore, the company provided significant capacity for major infrastructure projects such as the MRT North-East Line and the Second Causeway linking Singapore to Malaysia. Currently, our staff strength is 71.
